Ten NorthMaine

What is Ten NorthMaine? It is an Eco Sustainable Developments project, located in central Castlemaine, opposite the historic Castlemaine Gaol. Ten unique homes will be designed and constructed by Eco Sustainable Homes.

Benefits

The designs at Ten NorthMaine will have a strong focus on solar passive design. This will ensure your home is a comfortable temperature throughout the seasons. You will also benefit from reduced energy usage and running costs, making living more sustainable and economical.

Become part of a one-of-a-kind development in a neighbourhood of like-minded individuals; with a focus on quality and sustainability.

Live on quiet residential streets, that are very close to all the township has to offer.

Be comfortable and confident that the beautiful historic landmark next-door will never be developed. Thus once Ten NorthMaine is complete, a quiet precinct will be maintained.

Each allotment will be sold for private ownership, so no body corporates. You will have the freedom to develop your allotment as you please. You could plant fruit trees, start a veggie patch, a garden, or add full landscaping to your house and land package.

Design

The designs will be unique and range in size, each including:

  • Two to four bedrooms,
  • Open plan kitchen/living/dining,
  • Bathroom and ensuite,
  • Study or study nook,
  • Pantry,
  • Garage or carport,
  • Rammed earth walls,
  • Solar PV system,
  • Rainwater storage tank; and
  • Basic landscaping.

These houses will all feature excellent northerly aspects. A strong focus of ours is ensuring optimal solar passive design and sustainable construction. To achieve this, each home will be designed and built by Eco Sustainable Homes.

Living at Ten NorthMaine

Located on quiet residential streets, Ten NorthMaine is very close to Castlemaine’s attractions. The development is encompassed by three road frontages; Edward Street, Bowden Street and Farnsworth Street.

Ten NorthMaine is also located opposite the heritage-listed Old Castlemaine Gaol. Thus a beautiful historic landmark of Castlemaine will always form part of the view from your home.

Who are Eco Sustainable Homes?

Eco Sustainable Homes will be designing and building on each allotment at Ten NorthMaine. For nearly twenty-five years Eco Sustainable Homes’ founders Tony and Lyn Carter have been designing and building custom sustainable homes, featuring rammed earth walls.

Everyday comfort and functional, sustainable design.

Holistic Design

Their focus is on constantly innovating and adapting to achieve a holistic approach to design. This approach takes into account five major components.

  1. Sustainability and solar passive design
  2. Practical functionality
  3. The site and landscape
  4. Clients preferences and priorities
  5. Quality and value for money
